New parking-lot stripes coming to Bear Creek Park soon

When can we expect new stripes to painted in the parking lots at Bear Creek Park? At present there are handicap-safety and improper usage issues due to extreme fading.

Sounds like city crews are well aware of the fading lines in the parking lot at the park, Mel. A fix is reportedly slated for some time in the next couple months.

Tim Stevens, Medford's park maintenance superintendent, said crews recently repainted stripes in the parking lots at Donahue-Frohnmayer, Fichtner-Mainwaring and Holmes parks.

"This fall, in either September or October, we plan to have Bear Creek Park and Jackson Park restriped," Stevens said in an email. "It is on our agenda to accomplish within the next two months."
