Dowsett gone to the grapes, in a good way
We were wondering where Libby Dowsett went after she left KTVL. We miss her!

Well, J (and J), it's another sad story of a promising talent lost to the lure of the grape. Now, don't jump to any conclusion, Libby's not nursing a bottle of Two-Buck Chuck in some dark corner. Rather, she and her family have moved north to the Portland area where they have started a vineyard.
Here's Dowsett's comment, posted May 31 on her Facebook page: "Last day on the job today! I came back to Medford in '99 to work for KTVL. Lots of great memories and wonderful people here. Thanks to you viewers and followers who make the job so fun. Heading north to P-Town for our new vineyard."
Kingsley Kelley, vice president and general manager of KTVL, noted Dowsett "has reported and anchored almost every year" for the station since her rookie season in 1999.
"We were really sorry to see her go," Kelley said, "but are excited for Libby and her family on this new adventure."
Kelley noted that in addition to anchoring the noon news report in recent years, Dowsett has "produced and reported on significant community issues, including efforts to reduce child abuse in our community, and the difficulties in finding foster families for children who need them."
