Since You Asked: Mount Ashland awaiting more snow to open
Did Mt. Ashland Ski Area open this weekend?

Mount Ashland reported Saturday they’re still waiting on some more snow before opening the slopes, after about 3 inches blew in with 10 inches on the lower stake. Not quite enough to open the gates.
“Our friends at the National Weather Service are confident that we will have a snowy winter up here, but it looks like we’ll need to sit tight for the time being,” Mt. Ashland posted over the weekend.
Weather conditions Sunday were forecast to bring snow showers in the afternoon and through the night, with a slight chance of snow Monday.
The National Weather Service estimated Friday that high mountain areas are likely to get snow over the next week in southwest Oregon.
As of Sunday, NWS forecast upper-level energy moving into the Pacific Northwest heading southeast by Tuesday.
The energy will bring rain and snow at higher elevations in Oregon and Northern California, with snow over the Northern Intermountain Region, before precipitation weakens Monday.
