Coffee-stand robber still at large

That coffee-stand robbery where the guy jumped through a window with a knife last month was pretty disturbing. Did they ever arrest anyone?

“For now, there are no updates,” said Medford police Lt. Mike Budreau.

That case, which occurred at 8:47 p.m. Nov. 19, was indeed disturbing. It happened at the Human Bean coffee stand at 1831 E. Barnett Road in Medford. There were two employees on the clock at the time when a short man — anywhere from 5-feet-3 to 5-feet-6 — approached. One of the employees opened a window to see what the man wanted, and the thief pulled out a knife, demanded money and started crawling through the coffee stand window.

Both employees fled and were not injured, but the man did make off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man wore a backward black baseball hat, gray gloves, gray sweatshirt, white face mask and gray shorts worn over black sweatpants.

Anyone with information about the case should call Medford police at 541-770-4783. The case number is 20-19321.
