Still no cause established for South Obenchain fire
It’s been a few months, and I still haven’t seen a cause reported on the South Obenchain fire. Did I miss it?

No cause has been established for the fire yet, but it’s still very much under investigation.
“We just need to rule everything out essentially,” said Natalie Weber, public information officer for the Oregon Department of Forestry Southwest Division.
The fire ignited Sept. 8 near Eagle Point, burned 32,671 acres and destroyed 33 homes and 56 other structures such as outbuildings. Following containment, all control transferred back to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management office in Medford, with crews working to repair the landscape.
