East Medford road construction to last through September
I live in an East Medford neighborhood off Springbrook Road and there is quite a bit of construction on my commute. A neighbor told me it is supposed to last for months. Is that true?

We hate to break it to you, but the work on Springbrook Road between Pheasant Lane and Cedar Links is supposed to continue through September.
Traffic in both directions is being diverted to Crater Lake Avenue, and residents are able to get access to their homes and neighborhood.
“When complete, Springbrook Road will provide multi-modal and improved passage through sidewalks to Kennedy Elementary School, North Medford High School, and Kennedy Park,” according to a city of Medford news release. “Additional improvements include: a roundabout intersection at Springbrook and Cedar Links, a northbound and southbound travel lane, center turn lane, bike lanes and street lighting.”
So even though the work is expected to last another eight months, the improvements sounds like they’ll be a great addition to your East Medford neighborhood.
