Rogues in need of host families this summer

The Medford Rogues are calling upon their community for assistance this summer, with the collegiate wood-bat summer baseball team in need of host families for incoming players for the 2022 campaign.

Rogues general manager Dave May said Wednesday that the Rogues are in need of approximately 15 beds for the summer, with players beginning to arrive Memorial Day weekend and departing no later than Aug. 2.

Some of the needs and requirements include a sleeping space, pantry and refrigeration space in the kitchen and access to a shower, etc.

Athletes range in age from 18-22 and are current or incoming collegiate baseball players. They will provide their own transportation.

May said some perks of being a host family for the Rogues include exclusive host family events, tickets for the family and the opportunity to play a significant role in the growth of a collegiate baseball player.

The Rogues open their summer schedule June 2 against the Seattle Cheney Studs, with tickets going on sale soon.
