Rawls opens new Craterian season
Lorraine Rawls launches the 2004-2005 Craterian Performances — season with a concert at 7 pm Sunday, at the Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater. — This is the first event in the theater's Spotlight Series featuring local — and regional talent.
Recognized as one of the leading female vocalists in Western — music, this unique performer draws you into images of the past, as well — as the contemporary West. One does not need to be familiar with cowboy — songs to appreciate the multi-faceted talents of Lorraine, winner of the — prestigious Will Rogers Award for Excellence in Western Music.
Lorraine's latest project is a traveling museum exhibit, — "Gardians of the Camargue," which is a multi-media exploration of the — French Buckaroo tradition. A group of photos from the project will be — on display at the theater.
Joining Lorraine in the second half of the show will — be Brian Freeman with Irish/Scottish tunes and stories about the immigrants — who made their new homes in the American West.
