The power of a documentary film to transport the audience into another person&
s life and reveal its many facets is the essence of &
The Real Dirt on Farmer John.&
John Peterson is a bit eccentric, a farmer, artist and a man whose connection to the land and to the family farm is deep and unshakable. Despite being rejected by his neighbors, despite being harassed by suspicious locals, his home burned down, John transforms the failing farm into one of the most successful Community Supported Agriculture farms in America. This film captures his quirky, crooked journey perfectly.

A boy was born in Lusk, Wyoming, in the least populated county, in the least populated state in the nation. This is the story of what that boy left behind and took for his journey.
This experimental documentary is a personal, impressionistic narrative that comments on the notion of big box retailers, globalization, and the death of rural communities. The film questions the implications of this fundamental shift, and hints that if these changes continue unchecked, the social landscape in rural America could be irrevocably altered. Official selection of the Sundance Film Festival.
