Free Symphony tickets are being offered for Josephine and Jackson County students to see Roberto Plano perform Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini.

Don't miss your chance to see classical music at its finest. Free ticket vouchers are available to Josephine and Jackson County students to attend the Rogue Valley Symphony's 06-07 season performance on Sunday, Oct. 8 at — p.m. in Grants Pass at the Grants Pass High School Performing Arts Center.

This concert features Italian pianist Roberto Plano and the Rogue Valley Symphony performing Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini.

The Symphony will also perform Brahms' Tragic Overture, Thunder and Lightning Polka by Strauss, Rimsky-Korsakoff's Capriccio Espagnol, and the exotic Bolero by Ravel.

This is a great opportunity to introduce some of the finest classical music to the young people in your lives.

Over 750 students and adults attended Rogue Valley Symphony concerts last year for free due to this program.

The vouchers, provided to elementary, middle and high school students, allow one student and one accompanying adult to attend the concert free.

Vouchers may be obtained by calling the Bob Frantz at (541) 476-5843.

The student voucher program is one of the orchestra's many educational efforts to encourage young people to attend concerts.

It is made possible by grants from the US Bancorp Foundation and the Collins Foundation.

The Grants Pass Friends of the Symphony implement the program.
