Shasta Film Fest enters third year

Mount Shasta's international film festival enters its third year with an exciting assortment of foreign and U.S features and documentaries.

Northern California and Southern Oregon movie buffs can look forward to a "must see" weekend of wonderful films from the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa, and Asia during the third annual Mount Shasta International Film Festival.

The Festival will be held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 13 to 15 at the Coming Attractions Theatre in downtown Mount Shasta and at The College of the Siskiyous' Ford Theater in Weed, Calif.

Festival Founder/Director Jeffrey Winters says "We showcase 28 films with attending filmmakers who give the audience QA's after the films."

The slated lineup of films is truly impressive with American Independent feature films, spectacular American documentaries and award winning foreign films. The Festival will offer a free film, and a free HBO comedy special to the community as a gift for their support.

Mount Shasta is an alpine mountain town with a 14,000 ft. snow capped mountain. People come there to ski, fish, climb, relax and enjoy the area's beauty. Now people are coming to Mount Shasta, California to enjoy good food, natural beauty and international films.
