Ashland's First Friday Art Walk
Paintings by Betty LaDuke, Whitney Rolfe and Sarah Burns, mixed media by Aaron Taylor and photography by Joseph Linaschke highlight First Friday art walk in Ashland.
"Multicultural Celebrations," an exhibit of LaDuke's smaller acrylic paintings on board, will be displayed at Hanson Howard Gallery. The artist depicts Asian, African and Latin American families seeking refuge from violence, hunger and despair. Her visual impressions reach beyond national boundaries, revealing human survival and the dependence on understanding and compassion. Half the proceeds from the exhibit will benefit The Oregon Community Foundation.
Galleries and other venues will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 6. Pick up a Gallery Tour Map at any of the listed galleries, the Ashland Chamber of Commerce or download one from www.ashlandgalleries.com.
