‘Lend Me a Tenor’

This bedroom farce with book and lyrics by Peter Sham and music by Brad Carroll is classic Ken Ludwig ridiculousness reimagined as over-the-top musical theater. Rick Robinson directs. David King-Gabriel plays opera singer Tito Merilli and Rose Passione his volatile wife. The show opens Friday, Aug. 17, at Collaborative Theater Project, 555 Medford Center, Medford. Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with matinees at 1:30 p.m. Sundays. OSF Green Show

The Singer and The Songwriter — singer Rachel Garcia and guitarist Thu Tran — will perform at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, on the Courtyard Stage adjacent to the Allen Elizabethan and Angus Bowmer theaters on the Oregon Shakespeare Festival campus, 15 S. Pioneer St., Ashland. Admission is free.

Rock band Halestorm will perform at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at the Bi-Mart Amphitheatre, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point. In This Moment and New Years Day will open the show.
