Rogue Valley art galleries: July 31

American Trails: The gallery, located in the Columbia Hotel, 250 E. Main St., Ashland, features art and crafts of the indigenous peoples in North and South America. The gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Masks are not required by visitors; all staff members will be masked, and hand sanitation will be offered at the door. Art du Jour Gallery: See artwork by featured artist Dixie Kinser. The gallery, located at 213 E. Main St., Medford, will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Art & Soul Gallery: The gallery, at 247 E. Main St., Ashland, will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Paintings by featured artist Joan L. Brown will be displayed. Art Presence Art Center: Twenty-two members of the art center’s Artist Workshop will participate in the “Summer Daze” exhibit. Look for watercolor, acrylic, and oil paintings, photography, fabric art and sculptures. The gallery, located at 206 N. Gallerie Karon: The gallery, located at 500 A St., Suite 1, Ashland, features vintage textiles and jewelry, antiques, art and furnishings. Hanson Howard Gallery: The gallery, located at 89 Oak St., Ashland, features works in an array of mediums including painting, sculpture, ceramics and fine art prints. See the exhibit “Black + White,” featuring paintings by Korey Gulbrandson, and ceramic sculptures by Penelope Dews, from Friday, Aug. 7, through Sept. 2. Schneider Museum of Art: Southern Oregon University’s Schneider Museum of Art will open its latest exhibition, “Migrating Bodies: For(Saking) Life, Liberty, And The Pursuit of Happiness,” Aug. 6, and it will run through Oct. 10. This exhibition presents work by five artists or artist collectives that address global migration, its causes and effects, and explores the themes of displacement and migration. The museum, located at 555 Indiana St., in Ashland, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays. From 10 a.m. to noon Wednesdays is designated time for people with health risks. Admission is free, but a $5 is suggested. All visitors must wear masks and sanitize hands upon entry.
