OSF ‘Dare to Dream Gala’
The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will hold its annual “Dare to Dream Gala” virtually this year via the OSF website at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. The free evening of entertainment features OSF actors and artists, talks by the new leadership team Nataki Garrett and David Schmitz, and opportunities to bid on OSF-inspired experiences, gifts and memorabilia in a silent auction. Rogue Valley Emergency Resource Fair
Jackson County Library Services will host the sixth annual Rogue Valley Emergency Resource Fair virtually, via Zoom and Facebook Live, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19. This all-ages event is free to attend. Learn how to keep yourself and loved ones safe during a natural disaster or other emergency. Linda Bacon from Southern Oregon Emergency Aid will present “Pet Safety and Evacuation”; Mercy Flights Explorer Post 131 will give a presentation on First Aid; Eric Dittmer, professor at Southern Oregon University, will give a presentation on earthquakes; Samantha Matheny from Medford Fire District No. 3 will discuss fire safety; and Stacey Belt of Jackson County Get Ready Rogue will talk about creating “Go-Bags” and emergency checklists.
