Saturday, Sept. 12

ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum: A variety of interactive science exhibits are available at ScienceWorks Hands-on Museum, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland. The museum, which recently readjusted its hours, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and visits will be ticketed in two-hour shifts. Many exhibits will be modified to reduce touch surfaces — fewer hands-on activities —and increase physical distancing. Masks will be required for visitors ages 5 and up, and recommended for children ages 2 through 4. Staff and volunteers will be masked. Family Art Day: Kids and families can create and explore art from noon to 2 p.m. the second Saturday of each month at Rogue Gallery & Art Center, 40 S. Bartlett St., Medford. ‘Tales of the Direwood’: This family-friendly interactive production, “Tales of the Direwood,” features a series of self contained fairytales, woven together to reveal a narrative of a world on the brink of chaos and confusion. During a guided tour through the winery grounds, you will encounter six stages where actors perform scenes of madness, magic, and intrigue. The performance has similar themes as “Shrek,” “Alice in Wonderland,” and The Brothers Grimm fairy tales. Tours begin at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12-13, at Grizzly Peak Winery 1600 E. Nevada St., Ashland, and run until 5 p.m. in half-hour time slots. All visitors must wear a mask, and social distancing will be maintained.
