“Tales of the Direwood”: This family-friendly interactive production, “Tales of the Direwood,” features a series of self contained fairytales, woven together to reveal a narrative of a world on the brink of chaos and confusion. During a guided tour through the winery grounds, you will encounter six stages where actors perform scenes of madness, magic, and intrigue. The performance has similar themes as “Shrek,” “Alice in Wonderland,” and The Brothers Grimm fairy tales. Tours begin at 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25-26, at Rellik Winery, 970 Old Stage Road, Central Point, and run until 8 p.m. in half-hour time slots. ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum: A variety of interactive science exhibits are available at ScienceWorks Hands-on Museum, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland. The museum, which recently readjusted its hours, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and visits will be ticketed in two-hour shifts. Many exhibits will be modified to reduce touch surfaces — fewer hands-on activities —and increase physical distancing. Masks will be required for visitors ages 5 and up, and recommended for children ages 2 through 4. Staff and volunteers will be masked. “A Walk in the Woods” Reading: Veteran actors Doug Rowe, Barry Kraft, and Shirley Patton will perform a benefit reading of Lee Blessings’ “A Walk in the Woods” for Rogue Theater Company at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Grizzly Peak Winery, 1600 E. Nevada St., Ashland.

“A Walk in the Woods,” a long-running hit on Broadway, is an original play that brings perception and unexpected humor to its probing examination of superpower negotiations on nuclear disarmament.
