Nightmare Chamber Haunted House: This year’s theme for Randall Theatre’s horror haunt is “The Return of the Family,” themed after the 2017 hit “The Family,” which sported a group of inbred cannibals who trapped unwary travelers in their underground labyrinth, where they hunted them for sport — and food. The haunt runs from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays through Oct. 25, and Tuesday through Sunday, Oct. 27-Nov. 1, at 10 E. Third St. in downtown Medford. Tickets are $13, and appointments must be scheduled in advance. Guests can book appointments on-site, but tickets will cost $15, and there is no guarantee of availability. If you are late for your scheduled appointment slot, you must book for another night, and there will be a $5 per ticket rescheduling fee. ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum: A variety of interactive science exhibits are available at ScienceWorks Hands-on Museum, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland. The museum will be open from

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and visits will be ticketed in two-hour shifts. Many exhibits will be modified to reduce touch surfaces — fewer hands-on activities —and increase physical distancing. Masks will be required for visitors ages 5 and up, and recommended for children ages 2 through 4. Staff and volunteers will be masked. Tickets are $3 during the month of October.
