Tempo welcomes public service announcements regarding concerts, plays, live music, and entertainment-related events taking place in the Rogue Valley. To be clear, these events do not include health, physical fitness, self-help, religious or political-related activities. Typewritten information can be emailed to tempo@rosebudmedia.com, mailed to Mail Tribune, P.O. Box 1108, Medford, OR, 97501, or dropped off at 111 N. Fir St. The Mail Tribune’s lobby is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Deadline for Tempo calendar submissions is noon Friday, one week before the issue in which notices should appear. Earlier queries are required for feature articles. Publication of submitted information is free, subject to availability of editorial space and the editor’s discretion. Submissions should be typewritten in the body of an email or in a Word document. The information should include the name of the event, a brief description of the event, the time, day and date of the event and its location or venue, including a street address. Include ticket prices or cost of admission, if any. If the event is a fundraiser, tell us who or what organization will benefit. This pertinent information is required. Links to websites can accompany the information. Please do not send web links only. Also, do not send pdf files, posters or fliers. Please include your name and telephone number so that we may contact you with any questions, and please note that our staff is always busy with deadlines. Photographs may be attached to emailed information in the form of high-resolution jpgs. Please identify any persons in the photographs and include the name of the photographer. Hard copy photos can be submitted in person. Readers also are encouraged to use the Mail Tribune’s online calendar. Go to mailtribune.eviesays.com, register and then add your event to the calendar. Saturday, Oct. 31

Lithia Artisans Market: More than 40 artisans display and sell handcrafted items from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Feb. 28 along Calle Guanajuato, the pedestrian walkway behind the downtown plaza that runs next to Ashland Creek in Ashland. ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum: A variety of interactive science exhibits are available at ScienceWorks Hands-on Museum, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland. The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and visits will be ticketed in two-hour shifts. Many exhibits will be modified to reduce touch surfaces — fewer hands-on activities —and increase physical distancing. Masks will be required for visitors ages 5 and up, and recommended for children ages 2 through 4. Staff and volunteers will be masked. Tickets are $3 during the month of October.
