‘This is Who I Am’

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, in conjunction with PlayCo and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Co., will host livestream viewings of the world premier of Amir Nizar Zuabi’s newest play “This is Who I Am,” running through Sunday, Jan. 3. Separated by continents, an estranged father and son reunite over Zoom. From their respective kitchens in Ramallah and New York City, they recreate a cherished family recipe and struggle to bridge the gap between them, one ingredient at a time. Directed by OSF Associate Artistic Director Evren Odcikin. Every showing of this play will be performed and broadcast live. Seating for specific dates is limited. Ashland Labyrinth walk

The annual Ashland labyrinth walk was held virtually this year because of COVID-19 restrictions. The series, which kicked off Dec. 21, featured a variety of online events. Video presentations about the event’s history were slated to be posted on the event Facebook page at noon New Year’s Eve, with event official Cassandra Wass doing a solo walk of the labyrinth. Virtual attendees are invited to post their hopes and dreams to the Facebook page. A New Year’s Day video presentation on Friday, Jan. 1, was planned to close out events. Queer Coffee House

The social group for LGBTQ+ communities and their allies meets from 10 a.m. to noon the first Saturday (Jan. 2) of each month via Zoom. Author talk: Holocaust survivor’s son

The Jacksonville Community Center will host Irving Lubliner, son of Holocaust survivor Felicia Bornstein Lubliner, who will talk about his mother’s published stories, “Only Hope: A Survivor’s Stories of the Holocaust,” about her internment in Polish ghettos and two concentration camps, Auschwitz and Gross-Rose, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, via Zoom.
