Live Rogue Valley music, dinosaur display & more: March 26

In Focus: ’Jurassic Empire’

Drive through the Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic period and experience what it was like to be among living, breathing dinosaurs Thursday through Sunday, April 1-4, at the Jackson County Expo, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point. The drive-through lasts 20 minutes to one hour, depending on traffic. All vehicles will follow the same one-way route. Various 2-hour time slots are available. Tickets are $59 per vehicle with 1 to 7 passengers, $85 per vehicle with 8 to 14 passengers, Thursday and Friday; or $69 per vehicle with 1 to 7 passengers, $95 per vehicle with 8 to 14 passengers, Saturday and Sunday. Historic building tour & benefit sale: The Southern Oregon Historical Society will host an open house and sale of excess furniture, books and other office items from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at the historic J.C. Penney building, 106 N. Central Ave., Medford. The Penney’s building opened in 1948, before the business moved to the Rogue Valley Mall in 1986. The building now serves as the regional headquarters for SOHS. All sale proceeds and donations will go toward SOHS programs, events, activities and exhibits.
