Jim Witter’s ‘The Piano Men’: “The Piano Men,” a musical celebration of the 1970s, year-by-year, hit-by-hit, from the songbooks of Billy Joel and Elton John, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. Award-winning Canadian recording artist Jim Witter and his band lead an expertly crafted tour of an entire decade that begins with “Your Song” and takes you along in a musical time machine, saluting two of the century’s most popular contemporary songwriters. ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum: A variety of interactive science exhibits are available at the museum, located at 1500 E. Main St., Ashland. The interactive museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday. Many exhibits will be modified to reduce touch surfaces — fewer hands-on activities — and increase physical distancing. Exhibits that will be temporarily closed include Bubble-ology, the Jam Room, Dark Science and Pacific Crest Cove. Masks are required for visitors ages 5 and up, and recommended for children ages 2 through 4. Staff and volunteers will be masked. Admission is $12.50, $10.50 for ages 2 through 12 and 65 and older, and free for kids under age 2. Admission is $3 the first Sunday of every month.
