Jerusalem Quartet: Chamber Music Concerts will host the Jerusalem Quartet in two concerts at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, and 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, in the Music Recital Hall, 450 S. Friday’s concert will feature Haydn’s String Quartet in F Minor, Op. 20 no. 5; Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 7 in F-sharp Minor, Op. 108; and Beethoven’s String Quartet in C Major, Op. 59 no. 3 “Rasumovsky.” Saturday’s performance includes Mendelssohn’s Quartet in E Minor, Op. 44 no. 2; Webern’s Langsamer Satz; and Tchaikovsky’s String Quartet No.1 in D Major, Op. 11. Since the ensemble’s founding in 1993 and subsequent 1996 debut, the four Israeli musicians have embarked on a journey of growth and maturation.
