Restaurant Inspections

Jackson County health inspectors in July evaluated 76 restaurants, all of which passed their semiannual inspections. Forty-nine received perfect scores of 100. All scores are published in weekly portions in the Mail Tribune. The following restaurants received perfect scores of 100:

  • Kentucky Fried Chicken, 7310 Crater Lake Highway, White City — 100;
  • Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine, 2366 W Main St. Suite A, Medford — 100;
  • Lithia Springs Resort, 2165 W. Jackson Road, Ashland — 100;
  • Lumpy's #4, 995 Medford Center, Medford — 100;
  • Ma's, 212 E. Pine St., Central Point — 100;
  • O' Ryans Irish Pub, 137 E. Main St., Ashland — 100;
  • Oregon Shakespeare Festival, 15 S. Pioneer St., Ashland — 100;
  • Organic Grind, 111 S. Pacific Highway, Talent — 100;
  • Pinehurst Inn, 17250 Hwy 66, Ashland — 100;
  • Pit Stop Tavern, 704 W. McAndrews, Medford — 100;
  • Purple Parrot #34, 259 E. Barnett Road, Medford — 100;
  • Quail Point Golf Course, 1200 Mira Mar, Medford — 100;
  • Round Table Pizza, 2354 Poplar Dr., Medford — 100;
  • Sizzler Family Steak House — 700 Biddle Road, Medford — 100;
  • Springhill Suites Restaurant, 1389 Center Drive, Medford — 100;
  • Starbucks Coffee #444, 1408 Biddle Road, Medford — 100;
  • Subway of Phoenix #21720, 315 N. Main St., Suite A, Phoenix — 100;
  • Subway Sandwiches, 160 N. Pacific Hwy. Suite 10, Talent — 100;
  • Sugar Pine Company Cafe, 343 Broad St., Butte Falls — 100;
  • Triple Tree, 4999 Highway 234, Central Point — 100;
  • Vinyl Club, 130 Will Dodge Way, Ashland — 100;
  • Wamba Juice & Deli, 207 W. Eighth St., Medford — 100;
  • Yotopia Yogurt, 970 Biddle Road, Medford — 100;
  • Zoeys Cafe, 199 E. Main St., Ashland — 100.

Inspectors subtract points for violations of “priority” and “priority foundation” items.

These include: Foods maintained at improper temperatures, improperly cooled or reheated; not properly protected from contamination, from unapproved origins, unsafe, adulterated or not honestly presented; not date-marked or discarded upon expiration; raw animal foods improperly cooked; presence of rodents or insects; inadequate personal hygiene; failure to clean and sanitize food equipment; lack of an approved water system; toxic chemicals or cleansers not properly stored, used or labeled.
