Plein Air Painting Event: Ashland Parks and Recreation will hold a "PaintOut" plein air painting event starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at North Mountain and Lithia parks in Ashland. Entrants ages 10 and older may submit their painting for judging at 1 p.m. at Hanson-Howard Gallery, 89 Oak St., and 20 paintings will be placed on display. Family Cycling Workshop: League of American Cyclist instructors will lead a "Confident Cycling" workshop for children ages 6 and older from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at The Grove, 1195 E.
