Travel personality Rick Steves tours in support of legalizing marijuana
Travel writer and television personality Rick Steves will appear in Medford and Ashland Oct. 10 as part of a six-day, 10-city tour around Oregon to talk about travel and his support for Measure 91, which if approved by voters on Nov. 4 would legalize recreational marijuana use in Oregon.
In his presentation, “Travel as a Political Act: Ending Marijuana Prohibition in Oregon,” Steves will talk about how different societies tackle the issue.
He will appear at noon Friday, Oct. 10, at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave., Medford, and that night, at 7 p.m., at the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Fourth and C streets, Ashland.
