Dead man was local resident, police say
Ashland police have identified a deceased man found near Hersey Street last week as 29-year-old Isaac Brann-Linsday.
Brann-Linsday's body was found a short distance from the railroad tracks at the rear of 255 Hersey St. at about 6:25 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2.
Ashland detectives and the Jackson County Medical Examiner report that the death was not suspicious in nature.
Brann-Linsday worked until recently as an operations assistant at the Ashland Emergency Food Bank, where his mother, Izzy Brann, is a volunteer, the food bank said in a post on its Facebook page.
The cause of death is pending results from toxicology tests, which could take two months, investigators said.
