More rain in the forecast for today
Medford and Ashland could receive up to six-tenths of an inch of rain by today through 5 p.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service reported.
The precipitation comes from a new system that is pushing ashore along the Oregon Coast, with showers becoming more widespread and intense across the region throughout the day. Grants Pass is primed to receive more than an inch of rain, with nearly two inches expected to fall over Cave Junction.
The Weather Service urged drivers to slow down and allow for extra space between vehicles on wet pavement, and to use headlights for increased visibility.
