SOREDI campaign wins award
Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development Inc.'s Southern Oregon Edge campaign, designed to attract, recruit and retain companies that produce goods and services used outside the region, has earned Oregon Economic Development Association's 2014 Best Marketing & Promotions Award.
It's the fifth time SOREDI has earned the honor since 2007, having previously won two other marketing and promotion awards and one collaboration award. The agency has also won four National Association of Development Organizations innovation awards for its Jefferson Grapevine entrepreneurial events, Industry Tours, Angel Conference, and Technical Advisory Group efforts.
Southern Oregon Edge came about after national site selectors encouraged collective regional efforts, rather than independent initiatives. The three-year campaign profiles local business activity throughout the region — primarily companies whose goods and services are sold outside the areas. There are 10 businesses presently profiled on
