Snow levels predicted to drop to pass level

Snow is expected to fall in the Siskiyou Mountains and much of Oregon's east side Monday afternoon, bringing as much as to two inches to the Siskiyou Summit and parts of Dead Indian Memorial Road outside Ashland.

Snow levels will be around 4,000 feet, but could dip lower in the Siskiyous, the National Weather Service office in Medford reported.

The National Weather Service reported snowfall could be light, but that travel could still be affected because of wet roads that could freeze overnight. Meteorologists warned motorists to exercise caution on Interstate 5, Highway 140, Highway 138, and Highway 97.
