Ashland Rotary Centennial Ice Rink: Enjoy ice skating daily at the ice rink, located across from Ashland's Lithia Park at 95 Winburn Way. Skate rentals are $2.50 per pair. Christmas Tree Pickup: The Medford-Alba Sister City Association 2015 Ambassadors will pick up Christmas trees in Jacksonville and within Medford City Limits on Jan. 3 and 4. Trees should be placed near the street and labeled Medford Alba Sister City Association. Proceeds from the tree pickup will help 29 area high school students travel to Alba, Italy in March for a three-week academic and cultural exchange. See www.medfordalba.weebly.com.

Dawn to Dusk Bird Count: Birders can participate in a dawn to dusk bird count on Saturday, Jan. 3. The count will be within a 15-mile diameter circle centered at the dam at Emigrant Lake. Star Promenaders: The club hosts an A-1 and A-2 dance from 6 to 7:30 p.m. the fourth Saturday of every month at the Rogue Valley Square Dance Center, 3377 Table Rock Road, Medford.
