RVACT looks at challenges facing transportation system
The Rogue Valley Area Commission on Transportation will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, to review two new reports about challenges to Oregon's transportation system. The meeting is at the Oregon Department of Transportation's White City office, 100 Antelope Road.
One, the "Seismic Plus" report, lays out a comprehensive program to deliver longer lasting bridges and a seismically resilient transportation network and economy for Oregon.
The second, the "Rough Roads Ahead" report, outlines how Oregon’s economy performs when the transportation system is maintained in its current good condition versus how it could perform when system conditions deteriorate as expected under ODOT’s limited budget.
The RVACT agenda for Tuesday also includes updates and presentations on the Rogue Valley Transportation District, the State Transportation Improvement Program’s Enhance process, the Oregon Transportation Commission and local construction projects.
The meeting is open to the public and time is set aside for public comment.
