ODFW training aims for fishing instructors
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will host an aquatic and angler instructor training Monday in Grants Pass for anglers who want to pass on their skills and knowledge to newcomers.
The training will run from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Bear Hotel, 2101 NE Spaulding. It is open to anyone 18 or older.
The training introduces volunteers to the program curriculum, which includes basic fishing skills, stewardship, aquatic resources and water safety. You will also learn about events in your region and where you can volunteer.
Preregistration for the free training is required. Call Darlene Sprecher at 503-947-6025 or email her at Darlene.firstname.lastname@example.org.
