Ashland High grad among featured Hip-Hop Poetry performers at Oregon Shakespeare Festival open mic event

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will host two more free Hip-Hop Poetry open mic events on April 6 and May 4, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Black Swan Theatre, 15 S. Pioneer St.

The featured poet will be Ashland High School graduate Clementine von Radics, an internationally touring poet and performer. Her blog, clementinepoetry.com, has more than 100,000 followers and is featured on Tumblr spotlight. Von Radics work has been adapted by composer Stephen Schwartz into a song cycle debuting at Carnegie Hall in 2016 and her last book, Mouthful of Forevers, is a No. 1 new release on Amazon.com.

The OSF will also be opening the stage for the community to share its talents via all styles of poetry, music, dance and theatre.

T-Poe will be the featured artist on May 4.
