Rogues fall short again to Kelowna, 4-2
KELOWNA, B.C. — The Medford Rogues saw an early lead fade as the Kelowna Falcons prevailed, 4-2, during West Coast League action on Saturday.
The Rogues took a 2-0 lead in the second inning and held their advantage until the fifth, when the Falcons (5-3) went ahead for good.
In the second, Nathan Etheridge put Medford (5-3) on the scoreboard first with a leadoff home run. J.J. Kitaoka, who went 2-for-3, added a two-out RBI single. His hit drove in Stefan Panayiotou, who started a string of three straight base hits.
Brock Pradere was 2-for-5 for the Rogues.
Medford wraps up three-game series this evening.

SALEM WITHNELL DODGERS 4-11, MEDFORD MUSTANGS 2-8: At Salem, Cody Coggins was 5-for-7 with five RBIs on the day but short-handed Medford was still swept at Willamette University.
Coggins went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, and Jett Hamik finished 2-for-3 in Game 1 for the Mustangs (2-3), who played with just 10 players with several starters participating in all-star games.
Will Weaver submitted a 55-pitch effort against Salem, which recorded four double plays in the opener.
In Game 2, Weaver was 2-for-4 with four RBIs, Cole Carder 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs, Bryce Rogan 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs and Micah Brown 2-for-3 with two runs.

NORTH MEDFORD 11-12, SOUTH MEDFORD 1-2: North Medford cruised to the sweep at North Medford.
In Game 1, Larson Kindreich had two hits and three RBIs, Casey Buchanan three hits and two RBIs, Honus Kindreich two hits and two RBIs and Tyler Oedekoven two hits for North (3-1). South’s Robby Carle submitted two hits and an RBI.
In the second contest, Buchanan had two hits and three RBIs, Larson Kindreich two hits and two RBIs, Dakota Adams two hits and an RBI and Honus Kindreich two hits.
Winning pitcher Zach Collins allowed four hits and one walk with five strikeouts in five innings.

LITHIA TOYOTA OPEN: Unseeded local Jonathan Endrikat upset second-seeded Danny Riggs of Florida to advance to the Lithia Toyota Open Championship final during semifinal action at Rogue Valley Swim and Tennis Club.
Endrikat, of Central Point, rallied to win, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. In the quarterfinals, Endrikat beat Jamie Fisher, 6-4, 6-3.
Endrikat’s opponent today will be the top-seeded Kyle McMorrow, who topped fourth-seeded Charlie Cutler, 6-2, 6-1, in the semifinals.
In today’s doubles final, Endrikat and partner Charlie Cutler will take on Abid Akbar and Umair Quayyum after each team won their semifinals Saturday.
The singles championship is at 10:30 a.m. and the doubles match follows. Admission is free. The singles prize is $1,500, and $800 goes to the winning doubles team.
