A power outage is affecting thousands of customers in east Medford and Talent today.

Beginning at about 1:30 p.m., 2,560 customers lost power, according to Pacific Power.

Electricity was rerouted, restoring power for some customers, with about 1,066 customers remaining without power as of 3:30 p.m. today.

Crews are on site and repairs are underway, Pacific Power reported. Utility crews estimate power should be back on for all customers by 4:30 p.m. today.

The cause of the power outage isn't yet known, a Pacific Power spokesman said.
