Nia Thanksgiving DanceFeast: The 16th annual Nia Thanksgiving DanceFeast will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 26, at The DanceSpace, 280 E. Hersey, No. 10, Ashland. The holiday dance ritual, for which no experience is necessary, will be led by Nia faculty member Rachael R. Resch. Participants will do simple moves and free-form dance, done barefoot to eclectic, world beat music. Resch is the owner of Synergy Physical Therapy and Movement Arts in Ashland. Woodworking Show and Sale: The Siskiyou Woodcraft Guild presents its 36th Annual Harvest Show of Fine Woodworking from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29, in the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Great Hall, 70 E. Holiday Magic Show: Magical Michael will present a magic show to delight all ages during the annual Holiday Open House from noon to 5 p.m. at the Northwest Nature Shop, 154 Oak St., Ashland. The magic shows are at 1:30 and 3 p.m. Cassie the Clown will paint kids' faces from 2 to 5 p.m. and make balloon animals. Warm up with marshmallows and locally made marshmallows at an outdoor fire pit and make holiday crafts. Platt Anderson Cellars and Prickly Vine will offer wine tastings. 'A Christmas Carol': A new version of Charles Dickens' classic, adapted by managing director Rick Robinson and directed by artistic director Valerie Rachelle, will be presented at Oregon Cabaret Theatre, First and Hargadine streets, Ashland. Jacksonville Victorian Christmas: Holiday events begin at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, with a Victorian Christmas tree lighting ceremony and community caroling. Festivities will be on the block of Third Street between California and C streets. After caroling, Father Christmas will light the tree, greet visitors and be available for photos. The town's Christmas parade starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. 'Lovers: Winners & Losers': Ashland Contemporary Theatre presents Irish playwright Brian Friel's set of two one-act plays that balance young love and a mature relationship. Susan Aversa Orrego directs a cast of eight in this story set in Friel's fictional Northern Ireland town of Ballymore. Poinsettia Festival: Ashland Greenhouses is holding its fifth annual Poinsettia Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at 650 E. Ashland Lane, Ashland. Walk through thousands of colorful poinsettias and enjoy a hot beverage, snack and music. There will be a staged area to take Christmas photos. ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum: The exhibit "Zoo in You" introduces visitors to the trillions of microbes living inside their bodies, including microbial companions that keep us healthy.
