Photographers' works highlight First Friday in Ashland

Visit galleries in downtown Ashland and the Historic Railroad District the first Friday of each month and discover new exhibits, live music, artist demonstrations and opportunities to meet the artists. 

Highlights for the Dec. 5 art walk include jewelry handmade from silver, brass and reclaimed copper by Marty Hogan, photographer Daniel Loch and fine wood artist Andrew Jones at Ashland Art Works; photographs by David Chambers at Summit & Fields; and photographer Lewis Anderson at The Photographers' Gallery.

There will be receptions for the artists at the downtown galleries from 5 to 8 p.m. Pick up a gallery tour map at any of the listed galleries, the Ashland Chamber of Commerce or download one from www.ashlandgalleries.com.

The trolley will shuttle patrons between 5 and 10 p.m. There will be three stops on the trolley's route: Schneider Museum of Art; A Street between Fourth and Fifth streets in the Railroad District; and at the Ashland Plaza. Wine will be served at the museum until 8 p.m.
