Imagination is the limit

From Darth Vadar to aliens to the Seven Dwarfs, inventive themes are the hallmark of the annual Providence Festival of Trees, on display this weekend at the Medford Armory, 1701 S. Pacific Highway. Designers let their imaginations go wild in decorating the trees, then the trees are auctioned off to raise money for the Providence Foundation. But they're not delivered to their new owners until they delight thousands of families during a public viewing that continues from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children 12 and younger (who get in for free on Sunday). Photos by Jamie Lusch / Mail Tribune
