East Main Band

The rock band wraps up the summer concert series at Grizzly Peak Winery and Red Lily Vineyards. Dave Bernard and Ken Kiegell on guitars, Mike Gardiner on keys and bass, Mike Dadaos on drums, and Lincoln Zeve on sax, harmonica and EWI will play authentic, spirited '60s and '70s classic rock at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Grizzly Peak Winery, 1600 E. 'PokéScience'

Join the worldwide Pokémon Go craze with a scientific Pokéman scavenger hunt from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at ScienceWorks Hands-on Museum, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland. The event will include activities and experiments related to Pokémon characters to help visitors better understand the science of the game. ScienceWorks is a designated Pokémon Gym, and players can capture Pokémon and battle each other for virtual control of the museum. Admission is $10, $8 for ages 2-12 and 65 and older. A terrifying encounter in a graveyard and a summons to meet the eccentric Miss Havisham complicate matters. But when a mysterious benefactor sends him to London to become a gentleman, his dreams come true. Or do they? Charles Dickens’ thrilling tale of friendship, love, the price of revenge and true nature of generosity comes to life in Penny Metropulos and Linda Alpers' adaptation of his classic novel. Metropulos directs. The show runs through Oct. 30 in the Angus Bowmer Theatre on the Oregon Shakespeare Festival campus, 15 S. Pioneer St., Ashland. Bathtub Gin Serenaders

Chari Weatherford on washboard, Eric von Radics on guitar and vocals, Stephany Smith Pearson on accordion, mandolin and vocals, Lawrence Newcomb on saxophone and clarinet, Nancy Martin on vocals, Melissa Orr on violin, ukulele and vocals, David Orr on guitar, Pete Wirts on drums, and Jesse Baldwin on stand-up bass are The Bathtub Gin Serenaders. The ensemble will play hot jazz, dirty blues, Gypsy jazz, blues, ragtime and an amalgam of covers and originals at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, on the Courtyard Stage outside the Allen Elizabethan Theatre on the Oregon Shakespeare Festival campus, 15 S. Dumpstaphunk

The band — Ivan Neville on vocals, B3 and Clav, Tony Hall and Nick Daniels III on basses, Ian Neville on guitar and Nikki Glaspie on drums — will perform music steeped in the Big Easy tradition of a good time at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at the Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St. Born on the Jazz & Heritage Festival stage in New Orleans, and descended from Neville bloodlines, these soldiers of funk ignite a deep, gritty groove that dares listeners not to move.
