Eat Local Celebration: Celebrate the bounty of the harvest season Sept. 9-25 with the 2016 Eat Local Celebration. Events include local food tastings, farm-to-table dinners, a Salsa Festival & Showdown, Rogue flavor farm tours and restaurant specials. Participants are invited to record their activities by having their Eat Local Celebration Passports stamped or initialed at participating venues. Free Talk: There will be a free introductory talk by Matthew Schulman on Fascia Energetics from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Ashland Institute of Massage, 280 E. Hersey St. Suite A-8, Ashland. Vehicle Show: The Ashland Lions Club presents the 3rd Annual Southern Oregon Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Show at ScienceWorks, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland. This is an educational event designed to allow the public to see transportation alternatives which are currently available and to speak with current electric vehicle and hybrid owners about their driving experiences. This year's show includes an "Antique Car Rally" to demonstrate the past, present and future and a "Chili Cook Off" between the Ashland area service clubs which will raise funds for Children's Health Programs in Ashland.
