Rhythm and blues band Duke Street — upright bass player Joe Cohoon, sax player Gordon Greenley, drummer Kent Clinkenbeard, guitarist Scott Rogers and singer and vocalist John Hauschild — will perform at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Grizzly Peak Winery, 1600 E. Hanley Farm Music Festival
Intuitive Compass, Sage Meadows and High Country, Karen Lovely, the Ben Rice Trio, The Fret Drifters and Phoenix Sigalove will perform at Hanley Farm's new music festival set for noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at the farm, 1053 Hanley Road, Central Point. Tickets are $20, $10 for ages 6 through 18, and can be purchased at sohs.org, at Music Coop in Ashland or Hilltop Music in Phoenix. Kids 5 and younger get in free.
L.E.F.T. with Gene Black
Singer, songwriter and guitarist Gene Black of Joe Cocker fame will join rock band L.E.F.T. — Bret Levick on guitars and vocals, Don Harriss on keys, Greg Frederick on bass and Matt Terreri on drums — at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at South Stage Cellars, 125 S. Collaborative Theatre Project and students from Medford high schools will present a fact-filled musical based on the ABC children's show at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the Bear Creek Amphitheater in Bear Creek Park, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Pear Blossom Park, 312 E. Fourth St., Medford. It's a fun way for kids to learn grammar, science, economics, history, mathematics and civics. Catherine Hansen directs. Admission is free.
'Spotlight on Neil Diamond'
Erik Connolly, Kristin Calvin and Rose Passione star in "Spotlight on Neil Diamond," written by Cathy Noah and directed by Presila Quinby. The show previews Thursday, Aug. 10, opens Friday, Aug. 11, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 27, at Camelot Theatre, 101 Talent Ave., Talent. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Look for such tunes as "Solitary Man," "Cherry Cherry," "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon," and more.
