North Mountain Park & Nature Center: The Nature Center offers a variety of programs and interpretive exhibits that teach local natural and cultural history and sustainable living. Explore the park’s demonstration gardens, nature trails, pavilion, picnic and play areas. The North Mountain Park & Nature Center is next to Bear Creek at 620 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland. Rock Garden Society: The North American Rock Garden Society Siskiyou Chapter meets at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month from September through May in Lidgate Hall behind Medford Congregational United Church of Christ, 1801 E. Jackson St., Medford. On Feb. 13, the society will host an auction of plants, books and gardening items. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. to view available items. Jesse Cook: Canadian guitar virtuoso Jesse Cook will perform his signature blend of flamenco, Jazz, classical, world, blues and pop rhythms and instrumentals at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. Cook's newest album, "Beyond Borders," was released last September. Cook has won three Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards for Guitarist of the Year. 'An Evening with Gypsy Soul': Gypsy Soul — vocalist Cilette Swann and multi-instrumentalist Roman Morykit — will perform folk and soul music, joined by keyboard player Don Harriss and bass and horn player Mikey Stevens, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Grizzly Peak Winery, 1600 E. Online Historic Lithia Park Tour: Take a self-guided, online tour through Lithia Park in Ashland using Ashland Parks and Recreation's online story map, which highlights historic sites and features throughout the park. The Story Map was created by Lea Richards, GIS Analyst for the City of Ashland. The map is available online only at gis.ashland.or.us/LithiaHistoric. Call 541-488-5340.

Breakfast: The Rogue Valley New Day Network Breakfast will begin at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at the Rogue Valley Unitarian Fellowship, 87 Fourth St. Ashland. The breakfast speaker will be Connie Saldana, a planner for Senior and Disability services at the Rogue Valley Council of Goverments, will present "Servies for Seniors in the Rogue Valley." The RV New Day Network promotes peace, justice and sustainability in the Rogue Valley. This is a no-waste event, so participants are asked to bring their own utensils, plate, napkin, cup and food to share.
