Center for the Visual Arts: Spring exhibits feature student, faculty and community artists and are open Friday, Feb. 23, through Wednesday, March 21, in the Art and Marion Ady buildings, corner of Siskiyou Boulevard and Indiana Street on the Southern Oregon University campus in Ashland. Look for Kaylee Vanek's BFA thesis "Divulge" in the Retzlaff Gallery; "Women in Action,"  a collection of works by SOU students, faculty and community members, in the Thorndike Gallery; a collection of works by Reba Crawford Hayes, Kelsey Goldman, Jazmine B. Heard, Manya Orescan and Ellie Peck, "Poetry in Sink," in the Meyer Memorial Gallery; Ryan Evangelisti's "Lost Places" in the Boise-Cascade Gallery; Ben Gradel's "Adventure in Motorcycling" in the Art Department Chairs Gallery; and Tristan Perrotti's "Heartache" in the JELD WEN Gallery. A reception for the artists will be at 5 p.m. Friday, March 2, and refreshments will be provided. Ashland International Folk Dancers: The group meets Fridays at the Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way, to perform dances from Eastern and Western Europe, Greece, Scandinavia, Israel, Turkey and the Middle East. 'Erin go bragh': Rogue Valley Chorale will present "Ireland forever," a showcase of solos, duets and trio, accompanied by artistic director Laurie Anne Hunter on piano and Celtic harp, at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Ascension Lutheran Church, 675 Black Oak Drive, Medford. A small women’s ensemble from the chorale also will be featured, along with a group of Rogue Valley Youth Ensemble graduates. Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon: Youth Symphony, Youth Orchestra, Cantare Chorus, Youth Ensemble and choral ensembles from North and South Medford high schools, directed by Cynthia Hutton, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S.
