SNYP clinic gets grant for medicine, vaccines

The Spay/Neuter Your Pet Clinic in Talent has been awarded an $8,500 veterinary assistance grant from the Banfield Foundation to cover flea and tick medications and vaccinations for qualifying low-income clients. “We are so happy to be able to offer this most basic care to our low-income clients’ pets,” said SNYP President Sally Mackler. “Studies show that the majority of animals served by low-cost spay/neuter clinics like ours have not received vaccines or seen a veterinarian.” Since opening in February, the clinic has performed more than 980 spay and neuter surgeries on cats and dogs, including owned pets, shelter animals and homeless cats. For more information about the clinic, visit spayneuter.org or call 541-858-3325.
