Two dead in Highway 20 crash
A Medford man was among two people who died Wednesday in a crash on Highway 20 in Malheur County.
Richard Kozol, 78, of Medford, was towing a Suzuki Samurai behind a 2006 Gulfstream motorhome eastbound on Highway 20 when he crossed into the westbound lane on a curve and collided with a 2011 Ford F-250 towing a 30-foot travel trailer.
Kozol and the driver of the Ford, John Haynes, 72, of Palo Cedro, California, were both killed.
The passenger in the motor home, Barbara Kozol, 73, of Medford, was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, and the passenger in the Ford, Debra Townsend, 67, of Palo Cedro, was transported to St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario.
The eastbound lane of Highway 20 was closed for about four hours.
