Felony arrests

Assault, human trafficking — Michael Joseph Silva, 39, of the 2500 block of Springbrook Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Silva and lodged him in the Jackson County Jail on Wednesday. He faces charges in Jackson County Circuit Court of second-degree assault, human trafficking, compelling prostitution, promoting prostitution, menacing, strangulation and unlawful use of a weapon — specifically a hacksaw. His bail was set at $500,000. A probable cause affidavit with more details on the case was sealed.

Crime reports

Theft — Medford police took a report Thursday of a theft of a Townie Electra electric bike valued at $2,500 in the 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford.

Theft — Medford police took a report Thursday of the theft of a Trek mountain bike valued at $450 and $30 worth of cans in the 1200 block of Morrow Road, Medford.

Theft — Medford police took a report Thursday of a burglary and a vandalized chain link fence and padlock in the 1100 block of Knutson Avenue, Medford. Items reported stolen included air nail guns, miscellaneous hand tools, a Lincoln welder, a SKILSAW saw, a chainsaw, a weedeater, a DeWalt cordless laser level and miscellaneous camping equipment. The damage from vandalism was estimated at $420 and the items were valued at $5,000.

Vandalism — Medford police took a report Thursday of a broken bedroom window in the 800 block of East Ninth Street, Medford. The damage was estimated at $300.

Theft — Medford police took a report Thursday of a stolen five-gallon butane tank valued at $200 in the 3100 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford
