Missing Talent man found safe

A man reported missing by family Wednesday has been found safe, Jacksonville police said Thursday morning.

"They just called and said he returned home," said David Towe, chief of Jacksonville police. "They left a voicemail."

Mario Ceja-Espino, 39, was reported missing by his sister, police said in a Wednesday evening press release. The woman said Ceja-Espino never returned home from work at an unknown winery in the Applegate. She had dropped him off at 5:10 a.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of Ray's Food Place in Jacksonville, police said.

Towe said he had planned to turn the case over to the Talent Police Department Thursday, but arrived at work to find the voicemail saying Ceja-Espino had been found.

Towe said that Ceja-Espino spends nights between two different households, and that miscommunication may have led to uncertainty about the man's whereabouts.

"I've seen it a million times," he said.
