Felony arrests

Assault — Matthew Patrick Swenson, 53, of the 2400 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Swenson on charges of second-degree assault, menacing, unlawful use of a weapon and second-degree disorderly conduct. He was lodged Saturday in the Jackson County Jail without bail because of an alleged probation violation on a previous fourth-degree assault conviction.

Robbery — Anthony Rose Hernandez-Hewitt, 22, of the 3000 block of Tahitian Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Hernandez-Hewitt on a charge of third-degree robbery. He was lodged Saturday in jail and released Sunday due to overcrowding.

Crime reports

Theft — Medford police received a report on Sunday of a saw and jumper cables valued at $300 stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Berrydale Avenue, Medford.

Theft — Medford police received a report on Friday of the theft of a flatbed trailer valued at $1,200 from the 2700 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford.

Theft — Medford police received a report on Friday of the theft of clothing, a blue duffel bag, hover boards and a backpack valued at $1,478 stolen from a vehicle in the 2200 block of Biddle Road, Medford.

Vandalism — Medford police received a report Friday of a vehicle door and handle damaged during a break-in attempt in the 3000 block of Roxy Ann Drive. Damages were estimated at $500.

Robbery — Medford police received a report Saturday of a robbery in the 3600 block of Crater Lake Highway. A motorized scooter valued at $248 was reported stolen.

Theft — Medford police received a report Saturday of a PlayStation, headset, controller, Grand Theft Auto video game and backpack valued at $630 stolen from a motor vehicle in the 1000 block of Mount Pitt Avenue, Medford.

Theft — Medford police received a report Sunday of a passport, boots and clippers valued at $250 stolen from a motor vehicle in the 600 block of Stewart Avenue, Medford.
