Jackson County Expo cancels April event because of COVID-19 mandate
The Jackson County Expo has canceledApril's Rogue Canine Agility event as a precaution against the coronavirus, or COVID-19.
The event was originally scheduled for April 3 through 5. Expo officials are also determining plans for the Roxy Ann Gem & Mineral Show, initially scheduled for April 4 and 5, the April 10 and 11 Barnstormers event, and the J & C Auction originally set for April 8-11.
"We are working with our third-party event coordinators who have large events (over 250 people) in the next four weeks to determine their best course of action," an Expo news release reads.
The decision follows Gov. Kate Brown's mandate cancelling all events with more than 250 people for four weeks, a decision intended to mitigate COVID-19's spread.
